Our staff, our success: –

  • Mawethu has a number of skilled Site Agents, Technicians, Foremen, Health & Safety Officers, Shop Stewards, Skilled and Semi-Skilled Workers, as well as Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
  • A premix team which produces quality roads in the Eastern Cape.
  • And a committed Office Admin and Finance team.

Quality Objectives

  • To deliver projects on time, within budget and to the standard of quality required by the Clients.
  • To create and maintain a culture of quality within the group.
  • To ensure that all employees are trained in the Quality Management System and that the training is ongoing at all levels.
  • To meet all relevant statutory and legal requirements.
  • To provide the resources necessary to achieve the required level of quality.
  • To ensure that quality control and quality assurance mechanisms are being sufficiently and effectively applied and the documentary evidence of such are maintained.
  • To document and measure quality objective targets through internal audits and management reviews.
  • To ensure that all advisors, suppliers, sub-contractors and others who are involved in the projects meet the required quality standards.
  • To continually review, improve and implement quality management and best practice procedures.
  • To seek feedback from our clients and consultants as to the level of quality delivered.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Experiential Training

Mawethu encourages experiential training opportunities for selected civil engineering students, providing Mentorship, enabling students to gain the experience required to excel in their field.

Further Training

Further skills development training is highly enforced within the company, from unskilled workers to top management, sending employees on various necessary courses to ensure a strong workforce.

Youth Learnership Programmes

We also support youth learnership programmes to external persons and employ up to 100 non-permanent waged staff depending on the size of our contracts.
